About

Theosis Academy was founded in the Fall of 2022 in partnership with the Orientale Lumen Foundation. Started in 1997 in Washington, DC, the Orientale Lumen Foundation started by hosting conferences as a “grassroots” movement among lay persons and clergy to provide a forum for Christians to learn about the “light from the east.” Theosis Academy continues this mission in our modern age by bringing much of the wisdom and fruits of these dialogues to the world through the accessibility of the internet.

The overall mission is to allow Eastern Orthodox, Eastern Catholics, and Roman Catholics to meet and pray together, learn from each other’s traditions, and become friends together searching for a common goal: “that they all may be one” in the One Church of Christ.
